| AXIAL COMPRESSIONThe axial compression is the loss of the length of the Joint measured along the longitudinal axis. AXIAL ELONGATION The increase of the Joint length measured along the longitudinal axis. LATERAL OR TRANSVERSAL MOVEMENTIs the relative movement or displacement of the two ends of the Joint in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. VIBRATIONThe capacity of the Flexible Joint to absorb the mechanical oscillations of the system. ANGULAR MOVEMENT Is the angular displacement of the expansion Joint's longitudinal axis from its initial straight-line position, measured in degrees. The angular movement is a combination of the elongation and axial compression. TORSIONAL MOVEMENTIs the rotative movement of one end of the expansion Joint with respect to the other. As in the case of angular movement, this movement is also measured in degrees. | | Details |
